Jordan Fernandez, AMFT
Do you ever feel stuck in the same emotional or relationship patterns? Overthinking things, feeling anxious, or wondering why certain situations seem to hit harder than they “should”? Maybe dating feels confusing, communication keeps missing the mark, or you’re trying to feel more grounded and confident in yourself. Therapy can be a place to slow down, get curious, and start making sense of what’s going on.
I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) offering telehealth therapy to adults and couples across California. My work is grounded in attachment and emotional regulation, and I take an integrated, evidence-based approach that’s shaped around the person in front of me. I focus less on rigid frameworks and more on what’s actually helpful. I believe therapy should adapt to the person. Not the other way around.
Who I Work With
I work with adults and couples from many different backgrounds. A lot of the people I connect best with are thoughtful, self-aware, and motivated to grow, even if they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out to start – curiosity and willingness are enough.
What people often come to me for:
- Relationship and attachment patterns
- Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
- Dating, self-esteem, and identity questions
- Communication challenges and life transitions
If what you’re dealing with doesn’t fit neatly into a box, that’s okay. We’ll figure out what matters together.
My Approach
My style is warm, calming, and collaborative. I’m not afraid to be direct or gently challenge patterns that keep you stuck, but I believe change happens best when you feel supported and understood. Sessions can be serious and reflective, and they can also be light and human. I value humor, honesty, and being real in the room.
Therapy with me is a team effort. We move at a pace that feels manageable, building awareness, emotional regulation, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
What Makes Me Different
I bring both depth and lightness to therapy. I make space for real emotional work while keeping the process human, flexible, and grounded.
