Ivy Swanier, LPCC
Psychotherapist
Hello, I am Ivy Palencia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I completed my Master’s in Counseling in Los Angeles, CA at Loyola Marymount University. I am a bilingual, Latinx, providing clinical interventions in both Spanish and English.
I have over 5 years of experience as a mental health professional, and have worked with adults experiencing an array of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I am honored to support a diverse population. I respect and affirm all gender identities/expressions, races/nationalities, sexual orientations, and religious/spiritual beliefs.
As a clinician, I strive to create a safe, inclusive and nonjudgmental environment that supports vulnerability and honest communication. I offer compassionate guidance in our individual therapy sessions so my clients can explore and express underlying emotions, perspectives, and personal needs.
I work collaboratively to identify strengths and resources that can support clients in their journey toward healing and change. In doing so, I often utilize a variation of holistic and personalized interventions from various evidenced based approaches that are strength-based, solution focused, client centered, mindfulness-centric, and trauma informed. I intend to support my clients through their challenges, and help them in their pursuit towards peace and self discovery.
