Caroline Lee, AMFT
Supervised by Dr. Hanna Chang
Caroline Lee is a BBS registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at Mind-Body Care Inc., under the supervision of Dr. Hanna Chang. Caroline has prior mental health service experience working with young children, parents, and women who experience postpartum depression/anxiety and extensive knowledge working with individuals from diverse populations, including lower socioeconomic status, young children and adolescents, and people of color. Caroline was born and raised in the Bay Area and grew up speaking both Korean and English in a bicultural environment. She has completed her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Human Development at the University of California, Davis, and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.
Inspired by her own therapist, coupled with her love for psychology, Caroline became determined to become a helping tool to others who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Caroline meets her clients with empathy, open-mindedness, and curiosity; she encourages them to take charge as they step into the “main character” role in their lives. Caroline believes an eclectic approach in therapy can help them build and maintain quality relationships with others and themselves, no matter their circumstances. Caroline uses principles from humanistic/client-centered therapy as her foundation, then uses techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strength-based approach, attachment theory, and psychodynamic theory to tailor treatment to what would be best for the client.
