Sherry Lin, AMFT
Sherry Lin is a BBS registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at Mind-Body Care Inc., under the supervision of Sunita Roychoudhury, LMFT, LPCC. Sherry has mental health service experience working with children and young adults of diverse populations with different socioeconomic backgrounds and people of color, and can provide therapeutic services in both Mandarin and English. Sherry has experience working with children, young adults, adults, and older adults in different life transitions including career and education circumstances, relationships, and processing grief. She has also has experience working with individuals from different age groups with ADHD, and working with individuals that are navigating trichotillomania and different eating disorders.
She has a collaborative gentle approach with clients working towards goals. Sherry has completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an Education minor at the University of California, Davis, and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University. Through her own journey and compassion, Sherry sought to help others experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Sherry’s approach to providing therapy is using a combination of different evidence-based models in order to meet the diverse needs of each individual. Sherry uses Person-Centered Therapy as a foundation in order to utilize the strengths and individual’s own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She combines other techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Play Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to find the best approach to fit for each individual.
