Lyndsay Reese, Psy.D. is a licensed Clinical Forensic Psychologist and specializes in the assessment and treatment of substance use, personality, mood, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders as well as the psychological impacts of the justice system on neuro-a-typical persons. Dr. Reese holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with two minors in Education and Art from University of California, Davis as well as a Master of Arts and Doctorate of Psychology degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University, Sacramento. She has worked in multiple forensic and general population settings in California, Oregon and Washington; including in private practice, at the California Conditional Release Program (CONREP), community mental health, skilled nursing, and schools. While she currently practices primarily in California, she maintains an inactive license in Oregon and can provide services in Oregon if needed.
Dr. Reese utilizes an eclectic approach rooted in Psychodynamic, and Control Mastery Theories with influences and tools from Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Choice Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Focus of sessions are typically devoted to partnering with the client to build insight and modify maladaptive behaviors in a safe and supportive environment. She strives to give individualized interventions tailored to the Client’s needs. Dr. Reese is passionate, intuitive, creative, and invested in understanding the human experience- specifically yours.
