Kyle Cacoyannis, Psy.D.
Supervised by Dr. Jesse Schulte
Hello, my name is Dr. Kyle Cacoyannis, and I am a psychological associate at Mind-Body Care working under the supervision of Dr. Jesse Schulte. I was born and raised in Santa Clara, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at Whitworth University, along with a Masters of Arts (MA) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. I have therapy and assessment experience working with adults, adolescents, and children. I specialize in providing individual, couples, and grief therapy, and working with clients presenting with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I have a strong interest in people and thoroughly enjoy getting to hear about individuals’ life stories during our sessions. I approach therapy through a person-centered lens to compassionately relate to my clients and help them explore their unique experience of self, guiding them towards the insights, goals, or visions they wish to realize or accomplish. I am an Integrative Therapist who utilizes techniques from Humanistic Therapy to help individuals create meaning out of their personal experience, along with interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients learn behavioral strategies to cope with their distress. I also have experience working with young adult and geriatric populations. I have gained multicultural competency working with clients of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. I am open and flexible to discussing the personalized goals and/or concerns my clients bring up during sessions. I enjoy my work and feel I have a strong ability to genuinely relate to my clients and help them explore and express the most authentic version of themselves.
