Hanna Chang, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Clinical Supervisor
My name is Dr. Hanna Chang and I am a licensed psychologist. I earned my masters degree (M.A.) in mental health counseling from Boston College, and my doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in counseling psychology from Loyola University Chicago. I have worked at a wide range of clinical settings, such as a residential community mental health center, 24-hour crisis line, substance use/addictions care in a hospital, and multiple university counseling centers. I have also worked with a diverse range of clients with varying cultural backgrounds. In addition to private practice, I also teach at University of San Francisco’s MFT Program.
My areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, acculturative stress/biculturalism, work/academic stress and achievement, OCD, relationship concerns, immigrant issues, grief, trauma, and self-esteem/self-confidence. I work with my clients from a systems and relational cultural approach, incorporating techniques from evidence-based practices grounded in research. I work to empower my clients through creating a safe and trusting therapist-client relationship, so that my clients can freely grow towards the person they aspire to be.
