Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor

Hi, I am Sunita Roychoudhury, a licensed marriage, and family therapist. I am also a certified International Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coach.
I am client-centered, pragmatic, and solution-oriented. When working with clients, I use practical tools and frameworks to find solutions and relief. I use various modalities, like mindfulness practices, somatic therapy, and CBT. As an artist and a healer, I have a deep appreciation for the reflective process and honor the innate wisdom that is within all of us. A big part of our work is to empower, trust, and honor your inner wisdom to create the life you envision for yourself. Together, we co-create a therapeutic space tailored to your unique needs and goals. A big part of our work is to create tools and resources to reduce anxiety, anger, and stress.

I have a particular interest in working with adult children of alcoholics (ACA), adults who grew up in alcoholic/dysfunctional homes where developing intimacy, trust, and boundaries in relationships can be challenging and confusing. I am very familiar with the 12 Step Model. We explore how old beliefs get in the way of connection and relating with self and others due to the effects of being raised in a dysfunctional home and create new beliefs that are more affirmative and wholesome. We discover what self-care is, (some examples can be establishing boundaries, putting your needs before others, taking time for yourself ) and how to practice self-care in relationships at home and work.
